WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On A World Of Words. WWW Wednesday is a quick look and current update in the life of a reader, by answering three simple questions.
The three W’s are:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you finish reading recently?
- What do you think you will read next?
The first week of Lottie’s online school went quite well. Is it just me, or does it feel really time consuming. I spent all week waiting for the next class, getting Lottie into the correct Teams meeting. I felt like I barely had time to get much else done. We are currently half way through week two, and again, so far so good.
It is starting to get warmer, it looks like summer might just about be here. I always feel better when I see the sun shining. Winter and snow make me feel constantly tired, sunshine makes that all go away.
What are you currently reading?
The Operator – Gretchen Berg. So far this is just okay. I’m finding it to be a slow read (maybe I’m just not all that interested in it). But I’ll keep going a bit longer to see if the feel changes.
Scary Stories For Young Foxes – Christian McKay Heidicker. This is the book I’m reading with Lottie this week. So far I have mixed feelings about it, but it’s not too bad.
The Handmaid’s Tale – Margaret Atwood. My goodness, I have The Handmaid’s Tale on my TBR since the first season of the show came out. I actually bought the book back then, and still hadn’t cracked it until this week. I am not disappointed!
What did you finish reading recently?
Eat The Rich – Andrew Rivas. This was very different to anything else I’ve read. It was very good, but very different. It is told entirely through transcribed YouTube videos and various social media forums, so while there are no tangible characters, it tells an exciting story. You can read my full review for Eat The Rich here.
What do you think you will read next?
Other Words For Home – Jasmine Warga. I’ve had this on my list for a few weeks now. It’s classed Middle Grade, so I might read it with Lottie, or I might just read it by myself. I haven’t decided yet.
Confessions Of A Virgin Sex Columnist – Kay Marie. Okay, so sometimes I feel like reading something a bit cheesy, and this is one of those times. Skylar gets a job as the sex/dating columnist, but she has never had sex, nor has she got much experience dating. Noone knows this, not her best friend or her boss.
What are you reading this week? Have you read any of the books on my lists?
