WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On A World Of Words. WWW Wednesday is a quick look and current update in the life of a reader, by answering three simple questions.
The three W’s are:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you finish reading recently?
- What do you think you will read next?
June is looking like it will be a busy reading month for me. I’m currently participating in two readathons. I’m doing the Whatever-You-Want-A-Thon hosted by Maddie at book browsing blog, as well as the shelf space Olympics Readathon. I’m hoping both readathons will help encourage me to try a few books I wouldn’t necessarily normally choose.
The weather is also heating up quickly, which means more hiking and outdoorsy stuff so we will see how it all goes.
But onto the books…
What are you currently reading?
I’ve had Small Great Things on my TBR for a while, and it fits a few of my readathon prompts perfectly so I started reading it yesterday. I’ve only just started it, but so far I like it. I’m typically a fan of Jodi Picoult anyway, so I’m expecting it to be a good one.
How To Train Your Dragon is one I’m reading with Lottie this week. We both love the movies and yet I’ve never gotten round to picking up the books.
Birdie And Me is really sweet, and from what I’ve read right now, I have high hopes for the rest.
What did you finish reading recently?
I participated in the #dothethingathon readathon last week, and I was able to get through a few books. I talked about most of them in my #dothething wrap up. I enjoyed them all except for The Girl Who Owned A City which I thought was just okay. I loved The Accidental Beauty Queen and my full review will be going up sometime this week.
I also finished Forget Me Not, which was the book I chose to kick off Whatever-You-Want-A-Thon. It is a middle grade about a girl with Tourette’s, as she struggles to fit in in a world where she has been constantly told to act normal. It is written in verse, which is a style I have recently discovered I love.
What do you think you will read next?
All of these books fit into readathons prompts. I have had The Girl Who Drank The Moon and Turtles All The Way Down on my list to read for a while. I have told myself that they need to be read this week. I am on Team Middle Grade for Whatever-You-Want-A-Thon, so I will have a fair few on my TBR during the coming weeks. I’m pretty I will read The Girl Who Drank The Moon with Lottie.
Are you taking part in any readathons this month? Have you read any of these books? Let me know!
