It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme that is currently being hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date.
Well, it’s August. Just 29 days until my daughter goes back to school. I can hardly believe that summer has been and gone so quickly. I spend so much time planning all the fun we are going to have, and then the time flies by before I’ve even realized it.
I had a big reading month in June, slowed down a lot in July, so I currently have no idea what August might bring.
What I read last week:
The Perfect Family by Robyn Harding is an ARC I received via Netgalley, and I am happy to say I finished it. I plan to have my full review for it posted in the next couple of days. I went back and forth in my opinions about it so I will see what comes out when I settle down to work on it.
I’m also very slowly reading Amy By Any Other Name by Maureen Garvie. I am making progress on it, slowly but surely. If I haven’t finished it by the end of the week I may have to put it on pause until I’m more in the mood for it.
What I am reading now?
I really wanted something summery to read. I’ve been feeling a little grouchy and needed a break from the thrillers I’ve been reading. Lil’s Bus Trip by Judy Leigh and Greece Actually by Sue Roberts are just the right amount of fluffy that I need right now.
I still have quite a few books left on my Netgalley shelf that I want to read.
If I can get out of my slump and back into the thrillers I’m hoping to get to Stranded by Sarah Goodwin. But I also have a bit of historical fiction in When The Summer Was Ours by Roxanne Veletzos.
What are you reading today?
